Location
Our urbanization Los Leandros F4, is centrally
located just south of the large and popular La Mata beach and next to the Cabo
Cervera beach. The beaches are well maintained all the year. Along the beaches
goes a 2.5 km promenade ending in the small town of La Mata. There is a
recreation area next to the promenade. Next to the La Mata town is the Laguna
de La Mata nature reserve. There you may find an information centre. The sandy
beach continues past La Mata all the way to Guardamar.
The
houses have their front terraces oriented southwards, sheltered at a
quiet private street. Even on windy days you may sit outside enjoying the sun.
The urbanization is protected by gates and the street is for internal traffic
only..
The
community pool is in 20 -25 metre distance. The pool area is protected,
child-friendly with a large common pool and a separate children's area at the
end. The pool is for residents only. It is somewhat heated with a black wall
that collects heat. Therefore it keeps the temperature longer in the autumn and
heats up earlier in the
spring..
There
are international TV channels, including English and Scandinavian. The
houses are fully equipped, and each with 3 heating and cooling pumps. There
are, Internet with wireless router (WiFi).
The upper
picture to the right is from 2011. There have been major reforms including
balustrade and new gates after the picture was taken. Closest is no. 55, the
bougainvillea is in no.

There
is a shopping street (food, newspapers, pharmacy, bank etc., with many
bars and restaurants and also a taxi rank) in 10 minutes walking distance up
San Sebastian street. In further (5 minutes walk) there is a shopping centre
with a large Mercadona. You do not need a car to stay, but a. backpack or
trolley may be fine. The bus between Torrevieja and La Mata (Linea A) stops a
few hundred metres from the
urbanization.
The
bus stop is on the opposite side of the Cabo Cervera beach. A small
beach just next to the urbanization. To the right is a great restaurant
Barlovento, situated on the beach. You may walk past the restaurant and up
a staircase to the bus
stop.
A
few metres south lies a good Spanish hotel, Hotel Cabo Cervera. If you
go a little north from the urbanization (towards La Mata), you may find a pair
of good and affordable restaurants.
